Bet Builder

A bet builder (also called same-game parlay or same-game multi) is a sportsbook feature that lets a bettor combine multiple markets from a single event — for example a match winner, over 2.5 goals and a player to score — into one bet with a single combined price.

The pricing is the hard part, and the reason bet builders are a supplier capability rather than a UI feature. Outcomes within one match are correlated — a striker scoring makes his team winning more likely — so legs cannot simply be multiplied like an ordinary accumulator. Correct pricing requires simulation from the same event model used in odds compiling, computing the joint probability of the exact combination.

Commercially, bet builders are among the most profitable sportsbook products:

  • Higher margin per bet — each added leg compounds overround, and pricing correlation conservatively adds more;
  • Recreational appeal — narrative bets ("Salah scores, Liverpool win 2-1") engage casual bettors far more than handicap lines;
  • Social distribution — shareable bet slips have become organic marketing;
  • Extensions — multi-event builders, live in-play building and builder cash-out are increasingly common supplier features.

Why it matters: bet builder adoption shifts handle toward high-margin combinations, measurably lifting blended sportsbook hold. For operators choosing a platform, depth of builder markets and pricing quality is a direct revenue question to put to any sportsbook supplier.
